Whenever I’m downtown and in the mood to eat until I can’t move anymore, my mind instantly thinks of Korean Grill House on Queen St.
The menu offers extensive choices, and you have the choice of a la carte or all you can eat. They serve everything from Kalbi, stir-fry, bibimbap to ramen. My usual go-to is the K998 off the AYCE menu, consisting of beef, kalbi, chicken, pork, pork sausage, fish filet, salmon and squid. Quite the varying choice of protein. Obviously you cook it how you like it, so how juicy or crispy you want your meat is your prerogative. Side dishes are good too, consisting of kimchi, tofu and a few others.
Servers are crazy busy, as this place fills up in a flash, especially at dinner, though they do a good job keeping up with drink refills and order cards. Ordering off the AYCE menu autograts your bill 13%, but usually I add on a bit more due to the servers’ willingness to keep you happy.
Great place to come and pig out, and the open hours on Friday and Saturday save you if youre looking for a bite to eat late night.
Incredible experience! I went twice to this Korean grill. Wonderfully delicious! The meat is flavourful, my personal favourite is the chicken. If you're a meat lover this is highly recommended. They should carry vegetarian options last time I checked. But do double check just in case. The severs are friendly. Do note that the food is fairly filling so take your time and don't over order a lot of meat. (I made a mistake. My eyes are bigger than my stomach). You get side dishes like kimchi and rice to add with your meaty dishes. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the squid. Very rubbery texture is to be expected unless you like that then cool! It's fun to eat here with a friend or more.
Soo much meat! This was a lot of fun, I have only been to a Korean BBQ once before and it in a very long time ago. This place has a great selection of meat. Lamb, ribs and squid were our favourites. I wish there was a bit more selection for sides but the kimchi was great contrast to the meat. Service was fast and friendly.
